Job Description

Job Overview The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager serves as a strategic catalyst for operational excellence, bridging the gap between automated plant-floor data and plant leadership. This role is responsible for leading lean manufacturing initiatives, spearheading data-driven problem solving, and maximizing plant OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). By transforming real-time telemetry, historian trends, and MES insights into structured action plans, the CI Manager eliminates waste, optimizes changeover sequences, and fosters a sustainable culture of continuous improvement across all production lines.
Duties Data-Driven Project Prioritization:
Leverage automated OEE dashboards, micro-stop logs, and historical tag data to pinpoint operational bottlenecks, ensuring that Six Sigma and Lean projects target high-impact plant constraints rather than relying on tribal knowledge.
Standard Work & Automation Alignment:
Collaborate closely with controls engineering and maintenance teams to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) evolve alongside newly deployed automation, recipe management, and MES upgrades to lock in operational gains.
Root Cause Problem Solving:
Train and mentor cross-functional teams—including operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers—in structured problem-solving methodologies.
KPI Governance & Visual Management:
Manage facility-wide digital scorecards and visual management boards, tracking core operational metrics including OEE, labor efficiency, and throughput against strategic targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with plant leadership, production planning, and engineering to streamline production scheduling, support commissioning of new automated equipment, and drive accountability across shifts. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are highly preferred. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on process improvement and factory optimization. Skilled in project scheduling, root cause analysis techniques, engineering troubleshooting, and lean management principles. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing departments. Excellent analytical skills in manufacturing data analysis combined with strong mechanical knowledge; capable of interpreting schematics and technical drawings. Join us as we push the boundaries of manufacturing innovation! Your expertise will help shape the future of our production processes while advancing your career in a fast-paced industrial setting dedicated to excellence.
