Category Operations Position type Regular Pay range USD $25.00 - $27.40 / Hour Application deadline 2026-09-29 Your opportunity Charles Schwab Trust Bank provides trust, custody, trading, and technical services to retirement plan sponsors, advisors, and their agents. Within CSTB, Cash Operations supports the accurate and controlled movement of client funds through incoming and outgoing cash activity, with close attention to regulatory, tax, operational risk, and information security requirements. The CSTB Cash Management Team is responsible for processing client contributions, maintaining account records, and partnering with internal teams to research and resolve transaction-related inquiries. Success in this position requires a strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. This is a high-volume, detail-intensive, and deadline-driven role. Success requires dependable execution, sound judgment within defined procedures, strong teamwork, and the flexibility to adjust as priorities and production needs change. Overtime may be required during critical or peak production periods. What You'll Do Process contributions and transactions accurately and efficiently into client accounts. Maintain and update client account information to ensure accuracy and compliance. Investigate and respond to inquiries from internal departments regarding transactions and account activity. Partner with cross-functional teams to support a seamless client experience. Utilize Excel and analytical skills to review data, identify discrepancies, and support operational decision-making. Assist with administrative and clerical activities that support the team's daily operations and objectives. Adhere to established procedures, controls, and regulatory requirements to ensure operational accuracy and risk mitigation. Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts and support team initiatives as needed. What Success Looks Like Consistently accurate processing with complete documentation and minimal avoidable rework. Daily deadlines, service-level commitments, and control steps are met without sacrificing quality. Exceptions, potential risks, and unclear instructions are escalated quickly and with enough detail to support resolution. Internal partners receive clear, professional, and timely updates on work owned by the Associate. Production data and audit evidence are reliable, complete, and submitted on time. The Associate demonstrates continuous learning, supports teammates, and contributes constructive ideas that strengthen the operation. What you have Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy, recognizing that errors may create client, financial, regulatory, or operational risk. Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume environment while managing daily deadlines and multiple priorities. Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to sequence work, track follow-ups, and maintain ownership through completion. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence asking questions and escalating concerns when needed. Ability to follow detailed procedures and control requirements while ing sound judgment to routine decisions and exceptions. Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word. Comfort monitoring work through shared or functional mailboxes and collaborating across a team-based operating model. Ability to learn new processes, systems, regulatory requirements, and business concepts quickly. Flexibility to shift priorities and support cross-training, coverage, projects, or process-improvement efforts as operational needs change. Commitment to accountability, confidentiality, inclusion, and a positive team environment. Retirement services, payments, banking operations, tax, mail operations, or other regulated-processing experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in retirement, financial services, or accounting industries. Familiarity with transaction processing and client account maintenance. Required Licenses None. Physical and Work Requirements Work is primarily sedentary and requires daily in-office presence following our policy of one remote day per week. Opening daily mail and other clerical duties in office Processing checks received daily Quality control of operational transactions Initiating and releasing wires Researching incoming electronic deposits Correspond with Client Service partners to verify transactions Handling cash transfers, loan pool adjustments, etc. Overtime may be required during critical or peak production periods.
