JOB SUMMARY
As our Continuous Improvement Specialist you will contribute to the team's purpose in the organization to prepare, organize, schedule, deliver, and facilitate training the organization in areas of Continuous Improvement, Change Management, and Strategic Planning. The Continuous Improvement Specialist will develop professional expertise, applying company policies and procedures to work with teams to resolve a variety of problems, issues, and opportunities. In this role, you will need to understand what waste in the process looks like and countermeasures for removing that waste.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
In coordination with the CI Manager, the Specialist plans, leads, and/or facilitates Kaizens, Continuous Improvement, KATA, and Change Management events for internal staff. In partnership with the CI Manager and executive leadership, the Specialist may lead and/or facilitate a portion of Hoshin Kanri workshops. Will look for improvements of products, equipment, facilities, services, standard work, and procedures. Interacts with functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses. Utilizes skillset to facilitate and align teams toward a future state, adapting methods to ensure clarity of thoughts, diversity of ideas, and active participation. Captures discussion points and move-forward agreements of participants. Facilitates "Lessons Learned" discussions to determine applicability of course material and opportunities for improvements. Other duties as needed to meet business needs.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Continuous Improvement coursework or knowledge, CI certificate a plus. Demonstrates developing skills (typically 5+ years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position). Demonstrated ability and experience employing lean principles with a team. Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skillset, including PowerPoint andVISIO. EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
As a US Department of Defense Contractor, this position may involve access to items subject to U.S. export-control laws. Employment is contingent upon the employee's authorization to access such items under applicable law. An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a background screening and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis. Base salary range is $72,746- $109,119 per year. Midpoint is $90,933.
