Look no further! We are currently seeking a dynamic Assistant Team Lead (ATL) who has a passion for serving others and making a difference. To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Outlet workforce and location through security of corporate assets, customer relations, sale of donated goods, inventory controls and accurate transactions, to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities. Also, provides direction, job training, and support of Outlet team members concerning the proper and safe handling of goods, leading to increased revenues for mission services funding.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with the management, and coordination of after-market resale Outlet operation and ensures appropriate operational systems and human resources are in place to generate maximum profitability. Supports the hiring, training, supervises, and evaluates team members within the framework of AGI policies and procedures and job descriptions. Develops, trains, leads by example, and supervises operations leadership, ensuring they are able to achieve the goals set forth by AGI. Operates the warehouse and Outlet team within budgeted expense to revenue ratios. Ensures that the promotion, collection, transportation, production, sales, and external/internal distribution of donated products, related operational and sales activities are properly integrated to achieve maximum profitability and quality customer service. Assist the logistics with vendors for the sale, recycling, and disposal of Outlet goods (apparel, shoes, books, etc.); recyclable materials (cardboard, metals, glass, cellular phones, computers, etc.); trash; and hazardous materials; maximizing post-retail revenue opportunities and minimizing disposal costs. Coordinate and transact Outlet sales and zero waste opportunities toward increased revenue and profitability, and to reduce waste and further AGI green environment initiatives. Ensures hazardous materials are handled in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and AGI policies and procedures. Ensures good stewardship of all donations, through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the GGC and warehouse in accordance with AGI policies and procedures. Makes certain all transportation/baler (Forklift and operation of heavy machinery and vehicles) safety policies, regulations, and practices are followed to ensure accident-free driving and processing and minimized insurance costs. Ensures safety and image of truck yard, parking areas, loading dock, Outlet areas are clean, neat, and safe at all times. Schedules/maintains labor and payroll in accordance with AGI policies and procedures. Supervises the daily activities of Outlet team members to maintain consistent processing of all Outlet materials meeting production and safety standards. Coordinates loads and maintain accurate inventory control of goods. Inspects facility and Outlet equipment to ensure good company image and safe working environment supported by the Safety department. Ensures all trucks and trailers containing Outlet goods are manifested and sealed upon receipt. Instructs team members in the offload and on-load methods and all other procedures to instill a service-conscious attitude and minimize service failures and injuries. Trains, develops, and motivates workforce. Ensures that loading and unloading of vehicles is performed utilizing sound safety practices (i.e. lifting, use of equipment, etc.) and accidents are reported in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor Report incidents, vehicle defects, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles before and after route in a timely manner. Including equipment repairs and/or maintenance to the TLC in a timely manner. Work varied hours, which include evenings and weekends, are required. Responsible for image, maintenance, loss prevention, safety, and security of the warehouse in accordance with AGI policies and procedures. Performs assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles and Core Values. Attends in-service and related training as assigned by Operations Leadership. Exercise excellent leadership, communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a positive people first attitude.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of two years of management/supervisory experience in a business (retail) setting preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments required. Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required by job. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leader, team members, customers, and clients.
