Job Description
Description A growing life sciences organization in Carlsbad is looking for a People Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day people programs while partnering closely with leadership. This role combines HR operations, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and HRIS management. You'll be the person leadership relies on to make sure HR processes actually work — while also serving as a trusted resource for employees. What you'll own
+ Oversee daily People Operations activities
+ Manage onboarding and offboarding processes
+ Partner with leadership on employee relations matters
+ Administer benefits and employee programs
+ Maintain HRIS records and reporting
+ Oversee HR documentation and compliance
+ Partner with Payroll on employee changes and payroll accuracy
+ Support performance management programs
+ Develop and update HR policies and procedures
+ Assist with recruiting and workforce planning
+ Coordinate employee engagement initiatives
+ Monitor HR metrics and prepare management reports
+ Identify opportunities to improve HR processes
+ Maintain compliance with California employment requirements Requirements + 5+ years of progressive HR experience + 2+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or HR operations capacity
+ Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred
+ Strong knowledge of California employment practices
+ Experience with HRIS platforms
+ Strong employee relations experience
+ Excellent communication and judgment
