Medical Transportation Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher Community Medical Transportation -
Fresno, CA Pay:
$27-$32 per hour, depending on experience
Job Type:
Full-time Community Medical Transportation is looking for an experienced and dependable Transportation Operations Supervisor/Dispatcher to help manage our daily transportation operations. This is a hands-on position. Approximately half of the day will be spent dispatching and coordinating trips, and the other half will focus on supervising drivers, solving operational problems, communicating with clients, and making sure company policies are followed. Experience using RouteGenie is strongly preferred. Candidates with RouteGenie experience will receive priority consideration. Responsibilities Dispatch and monitor daily transportation trips Use RouteGenie to assign trips, track drivers, update schedules, and manage changes Supervise drivers and provide clear daily instructions Monitor pickups, drop-offs, delays, cancellations, and missed trips Communicate professionally with PACE, medical facilities, patients, and other clients Handle driver call-offs and arrange coverage Make sure drivers follow company policies and client requirements Address driver performance and workplace concerns professionally Document complaints, accidents, incidents, and disciplinary matters Maintain confidentiality regarding employees, patients, and company matters Help train new drivers and dispatchers Report important operational issues to senior management Promote teamwork, accountability, fairness, and respectful communication Qualifications Transportation, dispatch, healthcare, NEMT, or fleet-management experience RouteGenie experience is strongly preferred Previous supervisory or leadership experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm during schedule changes and emergencies Ability to manage drivers fairly without favoritism Professional judgment and respect for confidentiality Comfortable using computers, dispatching software, email, and Microsoft Office Reliable attendance and ability to work independently Valid California driver's license Bilingual English and Spanish is helpful but not required What We Are Looking For We are looking for a mature, organized, and professional leader who can earn the respect of drivers while still holding employees accountable. The right person should be able to communicate clearly, protect confidential information, solve problems quickly, and lead by example. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both dispatching and supervising a transportation team. Experience in non-emergency medical transportation is highly preferred.
