Job Description
Job Summary This is more than a traditional spa manager position. We are looking to connect with an experienced Thai massage or wellness professional who is interested in taking the next step into management, operations and potentially a long-term operating partnership with an established wellness business in Novato, California . The business has an existing clientele, established reputation and experienced team. We are looking for someone who understands the wellness industry and can help lead the people and day-to-day operation while working alongside a business partner focused on marketing, customer acquisition and business growth . The ideal candidate may currently be working as an experienced massage therapist, lead therapist, supervisor or manager and may have considered eventually operating or owning a wellness business. This opportunity is particularly suited to someone who wants to grow beyond simply providing treatments and become a leader within a business. Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day wellness operations Help manage and support the therapist team Coordinate schedules and staffing Maintain high standards for customer service and treatment quality Help create a positive, professional team culture Monitor appointments, utilization, rebooking and customer retention Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve the customer experience Work with the growth/marketing partner on promotions, customer acquisition and business development Help maintain facility, supply and operational standards Address customer and staff issues professionally Develop systems that make the operation more organized and efficient Help evaluate new services and growth opportunities Take increasing responsibility for the operation as the relationship develops What We're Looking For Experience in Thai massage, wellness, spa or a related service business Strong understanding of the customer experience Strong communication and people skills Comfortable leading and supporting a team Experience coordinating therapists or staff is a plus Management experience is a plus, but leadership potential is equally important Entrepreneurial mindset Interested in building something long-term Fluent in Thai and English strongly preferred California licensing/certification appropriate to services personally provided, where applicable Long-Term Opportunity This is intended to be a long-term opportunity , not simply a conventional manager position. The initial role would involve paid management responsibilities and performance-based growth opportunities. For the right person, there may be an opportunity over time to develop into a broader operating partnership.
