Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Operations Manager to lead our retail operations with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage teams, and ensure seamless execution of all operational processes. Your leadership will drive sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and optimize store performance through strategic management and effective communication. Responsibilities Warehouse Operations & 3PL Performance Management Oversee all daily inbound, outbound, storage, value-added services (VAS), and order fulfillment processes. Monitor facility throughput, labor efficiency, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across client accounts to meet contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Coordinate directly with carrier network teams, dispatchers, and freight forwarders to optimize dock scheduling, yard operations, and load execution. Optimize warehouse layout, slotting strategies, and material handling equipment (MHE) usage to maximize space utilization and picking efficiency. Inventory Control & System Management Maintain high inventory accuracy standards through regular cycle counts, physical audits, and root-cause reconciliation. Drive operational reliance on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) to maintain real-time tracking accuracy. Collaborate with account managers and clients to handle inventory variance reporting, damaged goods protocols, and reverse logistics processes. Leadership, Mentorship & Team Development Directly supervise, mentor, and evaluate warehouse supervisors and team leads to cultivate high-performing shift teams. Partner with HR on workforce planning, headcount forecasting, seasonal staffing, talent acquisition, and employee retention strategies. Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive culture that prioritizes professional growth, clear accountability, and open communication. Safety, Quality & Compliance Enforce adherence to OSHA standards, local/federal labor guidelines, hazardous materials (HAZMAT) regulations, and facility security protocols. Lead regular safety training, safety committee meetings, and incident root-cause investigations to minimize workplace injuries and lost time. Establish and standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent service delivery across all client workflows. Client & Executive Stakeholder Relations Serve as an operational point of contact for strategic client accounts, leading operational reviews and addressing service escalations promptly. Provide actionable operational insights, performance reports, and trend analysis to executive leadership during routine business reviews.

Qualifications & ExperienceRequired Experience:

5+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics, with at least 3 years inside a 3PL or multi-client warehouse environment .

Systems Proficiency:

Hands-on operational experience with enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan, HighJump/Körber, Blue Yonder, SAP WM/EWM, or similar) and TMS tools.

Industry Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of inventory management, shipping/receiving protocols, carrier dynamics, dock management, and labor productivity standards.

Safety & Compliance:

Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, facility safety practices, and safety audit preparation.

Leadership:

Proven track record of managing supervisors, shift leads, and large hourly production teams in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent practical industry experience. Preferred Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) or proven experience implementing 5S and continuous improvement methodologies. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (strongly preferred for multi-shift team management). Experience with automated material handling systems (AMR/AGV, sortation systems, conveyor automation). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all organization levels—from floor associates to C-suite executives.

Root-Cause Problem Solving:

Strong analytical capability to diagnose process breakdowns and deploy sustainable corrective actions.
