POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting a Trainee Crew Supervisor . This full-time position pays $26.00 per hour and is located in Salinas, CA . The Trainee Crew Supervisor provides day-to-day oversight, guidance, safety monitoring, and worksite support for program Trainees. This position coordinates Trainee work activities, transports Trainees to project sites, monitors attendance and performance, and helps ensure projects are completed safely and in accordance with applicable standards and job specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and coordinate the daily work activities of Trainees assigned to projects and worksites. Transport Trainees safely to and from assigned worksites, meetings, and program-related activities. Perform general physical outdoor work activities and assist with project setup, supply preparation, and equipment inventories. Track Trainee attendance, evaluate performance, document progress, and maintain accurate related records. Conduct general inspections of vehicles, equipment, tools, and safety supplies before use. Ensure the safety of Trainees and crew members while on project sites. Ensure each Trainee and crew member wears required personal protective equipment and follows established safety procedures. Ensure projects are completed in compliance with applicable standards, safety requirements, work plans, and job specifications. Confirm that Trainees have adequate supplies, materials, and appropriate tools to perform assigned work. Participate in meetings with team members, community partners, and program stakeholders to promote consistent communication and coordination. Participate in required staff trainings and professional-development activities. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures. Interact professionally and courteously with employees, partners, Trainees, customers, and the general public. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to supervise, guide, and support Trainees in a professional work environment. Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations. Intermediate computer skills, including the ability to document attendance, performance, progress, and project information. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and remain self-motivated. Ability to understand and follow required duties, methods, procedures, safety requirements, and job specifications. Ability to work harmoniously with employees, partners, Trainees, and members of the public. Ability to work flexible hours and travel between operational and project sites as needed. Ability to obtain OSHA 30 and
HAZWOPER
certifications within the first 60 days of employment. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent, required. At least six months of experience in a supervisory, lead, or crew-lead position, required. One or more years of experience in workforce development, construction, environmental services, landscaping, field operations, training, community programs, or a related field, required. Experience working with trainees, program participants, or culturally diverse populations is preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to meet organizational requirements for operating company or program vehicles may be required. Physical Requirements Extensive periods of standing, walking, sitting, and performing outdoor physical activities. Continuous computer, telephone, and desk work in a defined office environment. Ability to inspect, organize, transport, and inventory supplies, tools, equipment, and materials. Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Must be available for occasional out-of-office meetings, conferences, trainings, worksites, and other events as needed. Requires one-on-one and group interaction with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds. Travel between operational sites and project worksites is required.
