Job Description

Overview The Outside Services Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operation of Outside Services and supporting the overall golf experience through effective management of staff, systems, and service standards. This position supervises Outside Golf Attendants and supports the caddie program, golf cart fleet, practice facilities, starters and marshals, while assisting with scheduling, payroll, tee management, pace of play, and daily operational execution. This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of member and guest service, promoting a culture of hospitality, and ensuring consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency throughout outside golf operations. Experience Required Private club, resort, or golf operations experience preferred Supervisory or leadership experience required Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, Rules of Golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills Service-driven mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with scheduling and payroll systems preferred Familiarity with golf cart fleet management, practice facility operations, and pace of play practices preferred Ability to serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and expected work ethic Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hours adjusted as needed based on business demands Essential Responsibilities Supervise and lead Outside Golf Attendants in daily operations and service execution Ensure members and guests are greeted and assisted upon arrival and departure Train, coach, and develop staff to established service standards Foster a member-first service culture through leadership and example Oversee opening and closing procedures and maintain departmental SOPs Ensure proper staffing levels to support daily play, tournaments, and club events Staffing, Scheduling and Team Management Prepare and manage staff schedules based on operational demands Monitor labor allocation and assist with payroll review Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations Support recommendations related to coaching, counseling, and staff development Maintain leadership presence during key service periods and support a seven-day operation, including weekends and holidays Golf Cart Fleet and Practice Facility Management Oversee cleanliness, readiness, rotation, and maintenance coordination of golf cart fleet Conduct or monitor preventative maintenance and maintain related records Monitor inventory of operational supplies, including towels, tees, pencils, scorecards, and cleaning materials Oversee setup, presentation, and daily operation of practice facilities Ensure adequate supply and cleanliness of practice balls and hitting areas Caddie Program, Tee Management and Pace of Play Assist with caddie assignments, scheduling, and daily coordination Support training and oversight of caddie operations and service standards Support first tee operations, starter and marshal coordination, and pace of play management Ensure players are informed of daily rules, conditions, and operational restrictions Assist in monitoring player flow and addressing operational bottlenecks Communication and Operational Support Work closely with Golf Shop staff on daily golf operations and member activities Support safe and secure operations and communicate emergency information professionally when needed Verify service-related charges and maintain awareness of applicable fees and pricing structures Support tournament operations and special projects as assigned Benefits 401k, health, vision, dental, Paid time off
