Type:
full-time Method Builders is seeking a high-level, motivated Project Superintendent to join our team. This role is designed for an experienced professional who blends field-tested technical expertise with strategic project leadership across multiple job sites. You will serve as the primary driver of project execution, acting as a trusted resource for subcontractors while ensuring projects are delivered on budget, on schedule, and to our exacting standards. This is a dynamic, dual-faceted role: you will be deeply engaged in field operations while assisting with project logistics, scheduling, and sub coordination from a strategic standpoint.
Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Performance:
Direct and oversee subcontracted crews on active job sites, making decisive, on-the-ground adjustments to ensure peak performance, efficient sequencing, and strict quality control.
Print & Document Mastery:
Maintain an absolute understanding of construction documents, structural prints, and architectural details, ensuring every phase of construction is executed with total accuracy.
Logistics & Workflow Ownership:
Organize and coordinate daily tasks, material deliveries, and trade schedules, taking proactive ownership of multi-project logistics to eliminate downtime.
Code Compliance & Agency Coordination:
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of current building codes and lead on-site walkthroughs with building officials and inspectors to secure approvals smoothly.
Safety Culture:
Enforce rigorous site safety protocols, fostering a culture of compliance through personal example, clear communication, and unwavering expectations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner closely with project managers, architects, clients, and engineers, maintaining transparent communication and full accountability over project milestones.
Craftsmanship Enforcement:
Deliver and demand craftsmanship of the highest caliber, ensuring Method Builders' quality benchmarks are met or exceeded by every trade on site.
Qualifications Experience:
2+ years of progressive experience in construction supervision or field management, ideally managing wood-framed residential, multifamily, or commercial projects.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred; an equivalent blend of extensive field leadership experience and technical trade background will be highly valued.
Technical Knowledge:
Exceptional understanding of building standards and code requirements for diverse commercial building types.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to direct diverse crews, write clear field updates, and collaborate effectively with design professionals and owners. Physical Requirements & Travel Must be able to safely navigate active, hazardous construction environments, climb ladders, maneuver pitched roofs, and access confined spaces (crawlspaces/attics) as required for quality verification. Ability to work in variable weather and temperature extremes and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for travel between active job sites across the Front Range and mountain regions. Must be fit to utilize standard personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection if required on site.
