Job Description
Evening Manager Job Description MISSION The Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia is designed to be a "home away from home" for the families of seriously ill or critically injured children being treated at Macon area hospitals, by providing temporary housing during the patient's treatment.
SUPERVISION
The Evening Manager reports directly to the Director of Operations, though he or she will work closely with all RMHC Central Georgia staff to ensure that the needs of the families and staff are met consistently.JOB DESCRIPTION
The Evening Manager serves as an extension of the day staff to provide direct and indirect services for our families. The evening manager is a vital position as it supports families as they return from the hospital after a long day.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Listed are the general duties and responsibilities of this position, it includes, but is not limited to the following.- Promote an atmosphere of warmth and understanding.
- Maintain supportive and open communication with guests and participants of any "in-house" events and activities.
- Maintain guest communication including emotional support, trouble-shooting problematic guests, and emergency procedures.
- Check families into and out of the house using proper procedures.
- Provide primary phone coverage, and reception of visitors, families, and donors.
- Set up dinner service, clean up, and store leftover food according to safety procedures.
- Responsible for groups using the conference room in the evenings.
- Meet with the Resident Manager on duty at the end of the shift to update and share relevant information.
- Housekeeping, as needed, which might include, house laundry, vacuuming, stocking storages and pantries, preparing guest rooms, cleaning the kitchen(s) and dining room(s), etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
PAY RATE
This position pays $14.00 per hour.EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience with customer service.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Complete and pass a background check.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
