An Operations Supervisor manages daily operations and activities for a company or organization. Primarily involved in supervising and coordinating the activities of front-line employees such as monitoring work progress, providing training, and ensuring compliance. Has authority over the work of their team members but typically reports to higher-level management.
The Dollar Mountain Lift Operations Supervisor ensures that lift operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with established company procedures and applicable regulations. This role leads daily lift operations and supports the Lift Operations Management team by training, supervising, and developing lift staff.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of lead lift operators and lift operators Responsible for daily/weekly staff scheduling Ability and willingness to learn and understand department budgets Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws Verify compliance with operational and safety standards through daily inspections Interview, hire, train, and onboard new lift operators Provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations; address performance issues as needed Coordinate and execute seasonal lift opening and closing procedures Respond to and investigate lift-related guest incidents or accidents Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally Attend regular leadership meetings and support overall departmental goals
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED required Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills required Ability to read and interpret safety protocols, procedures, and mechanical documents in english Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions for extended periods Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including shoveling, ice chipping, and equipment handling Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, cold weather, wet and humid conditions, and loud noise levels Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED required Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills required Ability to read and interpret safety protocols, procedures, and mechanical documents in english Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions for extended periods Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks including shoveling, ice chipping, and equipment handling Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, cold weather, wet and humid conditions, and loud noise levels
