Position Summary Omaha Track is seeking a Director of Chicago Heights Operations to lead and grow our Chicago market. This senior leadership position is responsible for expanding our transloading, drayage, intermodal, trucking, and equipment repair operations while driving new business and building a high-performing team. This is an entrepreneurial role for a proven leader who thrives on developing business, improving operations, and creating long-term growth. The Director will oversee the Chicago Heights facility with full P&L responsibility and play a key role in strengthening Omaha Track's presence throughout the Chicago logistics and railroad market. What You'll Do Drive business development and revenue growth across transloading, drayage, intermodal, trucking, and railroad material services. Build and maintain strong relationships with railroads, shippers, brokers, and logistics partners throughout the Chicago market. Lead day-to-day operations of the Chicago Heights facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-focused performance. Develop and grow an equipment repair and service business utilizing existing shop facilities. Recruit, coach, and lead a high-performing operations team, including Shop, Yard, and Logistics Managers. Manage the facility's operating budget, financial performance, and capital improvements. Collaborate with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives and expand Omaha Track's market presence. What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in trucking, drayage, intermodal, transloading, rail, or logistics operations. Proven success driving business development and growing revenue. Experience managing large operations with P&L responsibility. Strong leadership, team-building, and operational management skills. Existing relationships within the Chicago railroad or logistics industry are highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
