Chief Executive Officer (CEO) About Fenco Solutions Fenco Solutions is seeking a General Manager to lead our Kentucky manufacturing operation, consisting of two plants and approximately 150 employees. This role serves as the on-site business leader across all functions, responsible for driving both operational performance and commercial success. The General Manager will lead manufacturing and supply chain while also owning key customer relationships and supporting business growth tied to the Kentucky operation. Role Overview The General Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the Kentucky operation, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, and site-level financial performance. This role requires balancing strong operational execution with active involvement in customer relationships and business growth. The General Manager will lead and align manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions while working directly with customers and commercial teams to ensure commitments are realistic, execution is reliable, and opportunities for growth are captured. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who has operated a manufacturing site or business unit and is comfortable leading both the operational and commercial aspects of a business. This role requires a leader who is comfortable operating in a developing environment where systems, processes, and teams are still being strengthened. Key Responsibilities Own overall performance of the Kentucky operation, including safety, quality, delivery, and cost Operates with a strong ownership mindset for site performance, while partnering closely with company leadership on key decisions Make day-to-day decisions on priorities, trade-offs, and resource allocation Ensure production plans are realistic and executable, removing bottlenecks quickly to maintain flow Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to stay connected to operations Lead, coach, and develop team members across manufacturing and supply chain Drive accountability and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement Own and support key customer relationships tied to the Kentucky operation, including visits, audits, and ongoing engagement to drive revenue and ensure execution Drive cost control, efficiency, and margin improvement at the site level Partner with Finance to understand performance drivers and support decision-making Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) Lead problem-solving efforts and ensure root causes are addressed Collaborate with Engineering on process and manufacturing improvements Align site priorities with broader company objectives Required Skills Strong leadership and decision-making ability in fast-paced environments Ability to lead experienced teams and drive accountability Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on execution Effective communication across operations, leadership, and customers Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment Understanding of operational metrics and performance management Preferred Qualifications 10-20 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Proven experience leading a plant, site, or business unit Experience in high-mix or customer-driven manufacturing environments Exposure to customer-facing or commercial responsibilities Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems Experience with lean or continuous improvement methodologies Ideal Candidate Experienced operator who has led a manufacturing site or business unit Hands-on leader who is comfortable on the shop floor Strong decision-maker who can operate in dynamic environments High level of accountability and ownership Practical and focused on execution over theory Able to balance operational performance with customer needs Experienced operator who has led a manufacturing site or business unit Leadership Style & Cultural Fit Operates with a strong ownership mindset for site performance, while partnering closely with company leadership on key decisions Comfortable balancing day-to-day operations with broader business priorities Thinks beyond functional silos and makes decisions based on total business impact Build alignment and trust within an existing team, integrating strong functional leaders into a cohesive operating unit High accountability leader who does not pass off problems and owns outcomes Practical and decisive, able to make trade-offs quickly with imperfect information Builds trust through action, consistency, and follow-through Comfortable operating in environments that require structure, stabilization, and continuous improvement Drives both operational execution and customer success with equal importance Work Environment Fenco Solutions operates in a hands-on manufacturing environment where operations, supply chain, and commercial teams work closely together to deliver results.
