Overview FMS Construction, Inc is seeking a Field Operations Supervisor to support and lead our field operations in the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia regions. This role focuses on people, planning, and execution, helping our teams perform their best while delivering safe, high quality projects. The Field Operations Supervisor works closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to ensure projects are properly staffed, coordinated, and progressing as planned. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the field, mentoring teams, and helping projects run smoothly from start to finish. Responsibilities Field & Workforce Leadership Support and oversee field crews across active projects Help plan and coordinate manpower needs based on project schedules Provide guidance, direction, and support to field teams Promote teamwork, accountability, and productivity on job sites Project Execution Support Work alongside project managers and superintendents to support daily operations Participate in job meetings and site walks as needed Help track progress, schedules, and general job performance Assist with project planning, logistics, and coordination Safety & Quality Promote a strong safety culture across all job sites Ensure work is performed in line with company standards and best practices Support site-specific safety plans and quality expectations Communication & Collaboration Serve as a bridge between field crews and project leadership Communicate clearly with internal teams, subcontractors, and partners Share feedback and ideas to improve field operations and efficiency What We're Looking For Experience working in commercial construction field operations Background leading or supervising field crews or trade labor Strong communication and people skills Ability to organize, prioritize, and support multiple active projects Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Willingness to travel locally as projects require Experience & Background Several years of hands-on construction experience Prior experience supervising or leading crews is preferred Understanding construction schedules, labor planning, and jobsite coordination Familiarity with basic safety requirements and jobsite best practices
