Facility Operations Manager Commercial Fleet Washing Upper Marlboro, MD |
Initial Training:
Cordova, MD | Full-time | Competitive salary + performance bonus About Absolute Fleet Washing Absolute Fleet Washing is a growing commercial fleet washing company serving truck and trailer fleets throughout the region. We are looking for a hands-on operations leader to train with our team in Cordova and ultimately take ownership of our facility in Upper Marlboro. The Role This is a working leadership position for someone who knows how to manage people, production, quality, and day-to-day operations. You will initially train in Cordova with our experienced operations team, learning our production processes, equipment, staffing, scheduling, quality standards, safety practices, maintenance, and customer expectations. Once the Upper Marlboro location is fully operational, you will transition there and lead the facility. Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day facility operations
- Manage, train, coach, and hold employees accountable
- Maintain production flow and service quality
- Monitor staffing, productivity, labor efficiency, and KPIs
- Resolve operational and customer service issues
- Ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use
- Coordinate supplies, chemicals, and operating materials
- Maintain safety standards and a clean, organized facility
- Improve processes and reduce re-washes, downtime, and missed work Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of operations, production, field-service, or facility leadership experience
- Experience managing hourly employees
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, blue-collar environment
- Able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- Willing to work evenings and weekends when needed
- Comfortable using KPIs and performance metrics Experience in fleet washing, commercial cleaning, truck or car wash operations, logistics, warehousing, construction, transportation, landscaping, manufacturing, or other field-service businesses is helpful but not required.
