Job Description

NIST's Nanoscale Device Characterization Division seeks a motivated Administrative Officer Assistant to provide comprehensive support. You will drive efficiency by managing cost allocations, analyzing financial data, and executing tasks including travel tracking, time and attendance, and procurement. Key duties involve improving internal policies, preparing reports via automated systems, and advising on HR and financial procedures.
Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for this position, applicants must possess ONE of the following: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level (ZA-I at NIST).
Specialized experience is defined as:
experience interpreting and applying agency policies and procedures in managing office operations; and experience analyzing financial and solvency data.
OR:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR:
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR:
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR:
Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
