Job Description

Custodial Operations District Manager Bloomfield Hills, MI | Full-Time | On-Site The Opportunity INFIELD Talent Solutions is partnering with an established facilities services organization to hire an experienced Custodial Operations District Manager supporting a large school district in the Bloomfield Hills area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to manage custodial teams, maintain high standards across multiple facilities, develop supervisors and frontline employees, and build strong relationships with the customer. The District Manager will have responsibility for the day-to-day performance of assigned custodial operations, including staffing, quality control, safety, employee performance, customer satisfaction and operational accountability . What You'll Do Lead Custodial Operations:
Oversee daily janitorial operations across assigned school facilities, ensuring cleaning specifications and service expectations are consistently met.
Manage & Develop Teams:
Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and frontline custodial employees, including coaching, performance management, corrective action and positive reinforcement.
Maintain Quality Standards:
Conduct regular facility inspections, identify service gaps and work with the team to quickly resolve quality concerns.
Build Strong Customer Relationships:
Maintain regular communication with customer contacts, respond to concerns and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Manage Staffing & Performance:
Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance reviews and employee relations while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
Promote Safety:
Participate in safety audits, inspections, risk assessments and training while ensuring employees follow established safety procedures.
Drive Accountability:
Ensure required operational reports and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Support Account Performance:
Help manage labor, supplies and other operational considerations to maintain efficient and profitable service delivery. Solve Problems in the
Field:
Partner closely with supervisors, employees and customer contacts to address day-to-day operational challenges. What We're Looking For 5+ years of janitorial, custodial, environmental services or related facilities-services experience, ideally with leadership responsibility Experience managing multiple facilities, accounts, shifts and/or teams Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and hold frontline employees and supervisors accountable Strong knowledge of custodial operations, cleaning standards and quality-control practices Excellent customer-service and relationship-management skills Experience with staffing, employee performance and corrective action Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment and balancing multiple priorities Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and email Valid driver's license and ability to travel between assigned facilities Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant leadership experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Why This Opportunity?
