Journey to the Well is a peaceful Christian retreat center dedicated to providing a holistic and therapeutic environment where individuals and groups can experience meaningful connection with God and others. Our campus hosts retreats, leadership gatherings, counseling intensives, and restorative getaways. We are seeking a Hospitality & Cleaning Services team member who takes pride in creating beautiful, welcoming spaces and serving guests with excellence. This role combines facility care, event support, and guest hospitality to help ensure that every retreat experience on our campus is peaceful, professional, and deeply meaningful. This is more than a cleaning role—it is a hospitality position in a therapeutic retreat environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and a warm presence matter. Job Overview The Hospitality & Cleaning Services team member helps maintain the cleanliness, readiness, and hospitality experience of our retreat center facilities, including guest homes, the lodge, and event spaces. This role also supports retreat events through set-up, food service support, and guest-facing hospitality tasks. Employees in this position must present themselves with a professional appearance, positive demeanor, and respectful presence when interacting with guests. Because our guests are often attending retreats focused on personal growth, healing, leadership development, and spiritual renewal, our staff help cultivate an atmosphere that is calm, welcoming, and supportive of a holistic and therapeutic experience. Duties Facility Care & Cleaning Clean and prepare guest homes, lodge spaces, and retreat facilities Turn over guest accommodations between retreat groups Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the property Assist with seasonal deep cleaning projects Monitor cleaning supplies and assist with inventory Hospitality & Guest Experience Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working around guests Interact with guests in a courteous, respectful, and helpful manner Help ensure that spaces feel welcoming, peaceful, and ready for retreat experiences Event & Retreat Support Assist with event setup and breakdown including tables, chairs, linens, and supplies Support meal service and kitchen preparation using provided menus and recipes Assist with dining area preparation, food service, and cleanup Support retreat logistics as directed by leadership General Campus Support Assist with light outdoor cleaning or grounds tasks when needed Report maintenance or safety concerns Support the overall mission & values of our organization, including creating a beautiful retreat environment Qualifications Previous experience in cleaning, hospitality, or janitorial work preferred Ability to maintain a professional, guest-centered demeanor Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining beautiful spaces Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally, and stand for extended periods. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
