JOB SUMMARY
This at-will position contributes to the company by leading and managing activities related to manufacturing and assembly, continuous improvement, planning and scheduling, facility and equipment maintenance, coaching and leading teams to achieve and surpass ongoing key measures and strategic initiatives as well as improving financial results and ensuring the facility remains operational.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General
- Ensures monthly sales targets are met by production.
- Ensure daily schedule and work targets are met by the shop floor.
- Appropriately scale to efficiently and cost effectively meet customer demand.
- Continue to improve efficiency and productivity to increase throughput and reduce cost.
- Create a positive working relationship with employees to ensure a cooperative and productive work environment. Nurture a culture of initiative, drive for results, respect and learning.
- Ensures that all targeted Strategic Initiatives and KPIs are achieved monthly.
- Ensures departmental workmanship is consistent in all areas, meets formal and informal standards and strives to ensure formal standards are developed and implemented i.e., iTLS (integrated Theory of Constraint, Lean and Six Sigma).
- Ensuring closure of department open issues to help ensure customers are fully satisfied. Participates in any root cause analysis of customer product or warranty issues.
- Supports and ensures plant safety goals are met. Works to bring injuries during work to company desired targets as well as surpassing lost time target by working with safety team on preventative methods as well as in depth reviews of any employee injury.
- Support and ensures all quality requirements are met. Ensure an ever-increasing product by working with the team to achieve desired preventative measures as well as cooperating with any in-depth analysis of open issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Training
- Ensures with shop floor management that all required and needed training for all operations personnel is complete and up to date. Tracks in the areas of safety, production skills, general job knowledge and any other skill sets needed to achieve strategic initiatives and KPI's.
- Promotes and achieves a highly trained workforce through collaboration with Human Resources.
- Works with managers to grow their ability to manage and empower the team to have the confidence and ability to make improved decisions. Leadership Responsibilities
- Leads teams to identify and implement opportunities to improve operations and process effectiveness.
- Assist in problem-solving efforts to improve quality and eliminate waste, cost of poor quality and applies analysis to improve process capability and recommend improvement to the standards whenever possible.
- Provides guidance, coaching, and mentoring to shop management staff
- Leads staff in activities to achieve all required financial, strategic initiative and KPI targets
- Leads the daily Production Meeting, staff meetings as well as monthly departmental meetings. Facility Responsibilities
- Ensures that ArcFlo has functioning equipment to meet production demands. Works with ArcFlo leadership, HR, and I.T. to ensure teammate/functional needs are met..
- Ensures general indoor maintenance is contracted and performed on a as needed basis. Expense Control
- Meet department budgetary expectations
- Develop and maintain a fiscal departmental budget
- Develop capital budget requirements for the department.
- Develop targets for achieving cost reductions within labor, material and process.
Ensure all cost reductions and standard changes are documented and distributed accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS

A.) with 3-5 years of manufacturing plant and facilities management experience leading teams to successful targets. Previous budgetary responsibility with successful results. Previous background and implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma required. Skills, Talents and/or Characteristics
- Process Improvement skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
