Since 1974, Shermco has become North America's largest and fastest growing NETA-accredited electrical testing organization. Our focus is to make sure electrical power systems are functioning properly and safely. Additionally, our Professional Engineering Group, Rotating Machinery Division, Renewable Energy Services, and Field Repair and local Repair Service Centers, places Shermco in a position to handle all things electrical, all done with an emphasis on safety and client service.
Position Summary:
The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Detroit branch. This includes leading staff, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly, and identifying areas for improvement. You will work closely with other departments and customers to ensure that the company is meeting its goals and objectives. This position will require you to be hands-on leader.
Responsibilities:
Lead and grow business Lead and supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Develop and implement operational policies and procedures Ensure that all processes are running smoothly and efficiently Identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to increase productivity Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to measure success and identify areas for improvement Collaborate with other departments and customers to ensure that all goals are aligned and met Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws Provide world-class safety culture leadership
Qualifications:
An education at the bachelor's level in engineering or business management is highly preferred. Specific industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 5+ years of experience in operations/general/site/plant with full P&L responsibility, ideally in an engineering or field services environment in manufacturing, MEP, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Data Center customer experience is highly desirable Experience working with customers and building relationships Strong leadership and management skills with experience growing a business Self-starter Strong safely culture leadership experience A strong desire to "win"/competitive nature with a strong drive, energy, and motivation An interest and ability in being a hands-on leader Strong change management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Pay Range:
USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
