Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Roofing Operations to lead our operational excellence initiatives and drive the strategic direction of our production activities. This executive-level position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest standards and protocols across all roofing operations, including single ply reroofs, new roof installations, commercial roof repairs, and comprehensive maintenance agreement programs. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and implement comprehensive production standards and protocols for all roofing operations Establish quality control measures and safety procedures across all project types Lead strategic planning initiatives to optimize production efficiency and profitability Collaborate with executive team to align production goals with company objectives Operations Management Oversee all single ply reroof projects from planning through completion Direct new roof installation operations for commercial and industrial properties Manage commercial roof repair programs and emergency response protocols Supervise maintenance agreement programs, ensuring consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction Team Leadership & Development Provide leadership and guidance to both upper and lower management teams Develop and mentor production managers, supervisors, and field personnel Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement Implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and performance Quality & Compliance Ensure all projects meet or exceed industry standards and building codes Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols Implement quality assurance programs and conduct regular performance reviews Manage vendor relationships and material procurement processes Required QualificationsExperience & Background Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial and industrial roofing operations Proven track record in both upper and lower management roles within the construction industry Extensive knowledge of single ply roofing systems, installation techniques, and repair methodologies Experience managing large-scale commercial roofing projects and maintenance programs Technical Skills In-depth understanding of various roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, and modified bitumen Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices Proficiency in project management software and production planning tools Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and production metrics Leadership Competencies Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field Professional certifications from NRCA, RCI, or similar industry organizations Experience with green roofing systems and sustainable construction practices Knowledge of advanced roofing technologies and emerging industry trends What We Offer Competitive executive-level compensation package Performance-based bonus structure Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan with company matching Professional development opportunities and continuing education support Company vehicle and expense account Flexible work arrangements and paid time off Application Process Qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume, cover letter, and references.
