Job Description

Organization Overview:
Established in 1987, the Mounds View Schools Education Foundation (MVSEF) has evolved into a leader in facilitating philanthropic support for our school community. The MVSEF (501c3) works in partnership with the Mounds View School District leadership to identify programs that require funding to advance priorities that reach every school in the district, elevating the academic experience of every student.
Responsibilities:
Manage the MVSEF's operations, including but not limited to the following: Create annual strategic plan, present to the board and drive implementation of finalized plan to continue to grow the Foundation's impact Develop and maintain strong working relationships with district partners (district leadership, communications and PTAs/PTOs) Collaborate with Foundation board chair to create meeting agendas, funding initiatives, and operational goals Manage community outreach to build and maintain existing sponsor partnerships Plan and schedule monthly executive committee (President, Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary) and board meetings.
Plan and execute large events:
Partnering for Education (100-150 attendees) and Rock the School House (200-250 attendees). Support Events committee in executing community building events annually (movie nights, sports tailgates etc). Collaborate with MVSEF trustees to identify and recruit board prospects Administer annual giving campaign, drive revenue growth by cultivating relationships with current and prospective donors Manage donor database keeping files up to date, create donor email communications and send communications Collaborate with Foundation Executive Assistant to manage day-to-day financial operations, create annual budget and present to executive committee Manage relationships with fiscal partners and sponsors Manage scholarship donor relationships, answer scholarship questions and execute the fiscal process annually in partnership with the district scholarship organizer Represent MVSEF at district scholarship nights Supervise two part-time staff ensuring financials and marketing/communications plans are executed. Draft marketing/communication annual plan in collaboration with the marketing engagement coordinator and supervise the execution Write quarterly content for district communications, press releases, and other communications to update on the impact of the Foundation Collaborate with district partners for event reservations and day-of needs Operations 40% Create annual strategic plan, present to the board and drive implementation of finalized plan to continue to grow the Foundation's impact Develop and maintain strong working relationships with district partners (district leadership, communications and PTA's) Collaborate with Foundation board chair to create meeting agendas, funding initiatives, and operational goals Manage community outreach to build and maintain existing sponsor partnerships Plan and schedule monthly executive committee (President, Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary) and bi-monthly board meetings. Manage relationships with fiscal partners Events 30% Plan and execute Foundation events: Partnering for Education (100-150 attendees) and Rock the School House (200-300 attendees). Manage event follow up for donors and attendees and database management Support Events committee in executing community building events annually Collaborate with district partners for event reservations and day of needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the nonprofit sector preferred. Established ties to the Mounds View Public School district community and commitment to supporting the public education experience for students in the Mounds View Public Schools community. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in planning and executing special events, including fundraising events, and managing databases. Experience managing day-to-day cash flow, financial data and records. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain strong partnerships A demonstrated ability in individual and large-scale fundraising efforts The ability to take initiative and execute with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and execute successfully Ability to manage and support volunteers 20 hours per week (may vary depending on event cycle).
