The out of school time (OST) program specialist provides back up support to the site coordinator for all OST programs including school age care, youth enrichment, and targeted services enrichment opportunities focusing on delivering high quality programming. This position is a member of the OST leadership team. This position will be located at Emmet D Williams Elementary School which is a K-6 grade building. School year hours will typically be 6:15am-11:30am & 3:15pm-6pm and will shift on non school days and summers. This is a 12-month, 8-hour a day, 40-hour a week position. There will be some occasional morning, evening and weekend work required.
Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of programming for youth in grades K-8, direct child time, family communication, youth leadership, school day alignment, supply shopping, assisting with staff direction and support, behavior management, special needs support, marketing and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2 years of post secondary school is required and a 4 year degree is preferred. Knowledge and experience with school age youth is necessary. The ideal candidate can demonstrate creative programming ideas for youth, professionalism, good communication, problem solving, a positive attitude and comfort with technology.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift 20 lbs and have own vehicle. Position requires that you have your own transportation for such things as shopping and off site meetings.
Compensation:
Starting hourly rate of $21.00
- 22.75
- plus a district contribution to health insurance and other benefits.
This position qualifies for Great Start Compensation bonus pay monthly.
