Job Description

Job Summary Sparkle Logistics LLC is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Operations Lead to oversee our daily delivery operations, fleet management, and team performance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth dispatch processes, optimizing route capacity, managing company assets, and maintaining strict compliance with local, state, DOT, and Amazon standards. As a key leader, you will bridge the gap between our drivers, leadership team, and warehouse to ensure Sparkle Logistics consistently hits high-performance metrics while maintaining a safe and motivating work environment.
Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Leadership Team Supervision:
Direct and support the dispatch and leadership teams to ensure efficient daily execution.
Capacity Planning:
Oversee and adjust route capacity scheduling across multiple systems with metrics changing daily.
Resource Allocation:
Ensure route capacity commitments are met through proper driver staffing, fleet sizing, and supply management.
Communication & Meetings:
Lead weekly leadership meetings and manage daily email correspondence promptly.
Roster Management:
Handle driver schedule adjustments, availability changes, and time-off requests.
Incidents, Compliance & Discipline Incident Response:
Ensure the immediate reporting, documentation, and proper handling of all accidents, roadside incidents, and insurance claims.
Resolution Collaboration:
Partner with HR and insurance teams to manage incident resolution, documentation, and eventual closure.
Policy Enforcement:
Ensure all team members follow standard operating procedures and fairly execute disciplinary actions up to team terminations when necessary.
Performance Incentives:
Review payroll and generate accurate driver bonus reports based on performance metrics.
Scorecards & Reporting Data Accuracy:
Ensure precise tracking of clock times, route data, van utilization, and mandatory driver photo inspections.
Metric Monitoring:
Review daily reports to verify work summary accuracy and strictly monitor driver working hours to prevent compliance violations.
Risk Mitigation:
Track Support Central cases, disputes, and incident reports to proactively prevent Breach of Contract issues.
Driver Coaching:
Review individual driver metrics and coach low-performing drivers.
Financial Goals:
Review labor guidelines and P&L reports to ensure financial goals are met.
Procurement & Asset Management Equipment Procurement:
Manage non-vehicle inventory including phones, cases, charging cords, batteries, and office supplies.
Asset Distribution:
Supervise uniform inventory, gas card distribution, tracking, and delivery device maintenance.
Expense Handling:
Manage small daily operational payments or driver reimbursements and submit accurate records to the billing department.
Qualifications Leadership Experience:
Proven experience leading teams, managing complex schedules, and successfully resolving workplace conflicts.
Multitasking Abilities:
Exceptional ability to prioritize urgent operational tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical Skills:
Comfortable monitoring a wide range of logistics systems, dashboards, and performance metrics simultaneously.
Fair Enforcement:
Able to hold team members accountable to company policies objectively while sustaining high team morale.
Certifications:
DOT certifications or prior Delivery Service Partner leadership experience are highly preferred but not required. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
