Job Description
The Director of Business Operations plays an integral role in ensuring that the patient experiences seamless entry into the Pine Grove system, with oversight of processes related to scheduling, registration and collections. This includes oversight of all EPIC-related platforms for these processes, while serving as the Pine Grove EPIC liaison with Forrest Health. The Director will serve as a resource to the Administrator, Vice President and Program Directors for financial and production data related to program/service line performance and strategic planning. By overseeing the operations of patient registration, insurance verification, pre-cert, financial counseling, and collections, this position ensures that the admission and registration pathway for patients is efficient and seamless. The role involves planning and coordination with various departments, including EPIC and the revenue cycle to improve access to care and thus overall patient experience. The Director will advise the Administrator and Vice President on trends in payors, denials and reimbursement that impact the financial success of all Pine Grove programs. Additionally, the Director will work closely with the Forrest Health Finance department to inquire and manage payor trends, fee schedules and denials that impact the revenue cycle for Pine Grove. Additionally, the Director will collaborate with the Forrest Health EPIC team as it impacts Pine Grove scheduling, registration and revenue cycle aspects of EPIC. The Director will keep the Pine Grove leadership abreast of all EPIC upgrades, opportunities and concerns throughout the year related to these named platforms. The Director will work closely with the designated Pine Grove leader assigned to collaborate with the EPIC team on EpicCare. Works with the registration team to ensure all new team members are adequately trained in EPIC registration, processes and customer service. Serves as the Pine Grove lead for EPIC as it relates to scheduling, registration and revenue cycle Liaison to Forrest General Hospital for: EPIC Revenue Cycle Information Services/Technology Serves in a role that approves all HelpDesk/EPIC tickets for Pine Grove staff EPIC access Drives new growth and new business initiatives by identifying revenue growth opportunities and collecting the financial data to support such initiatives. Prepares and presents regular production and revenue reports for Pine Grove programs. Oversight for the manager/staff and precert/authorization/collection processes throughout Pine Grove. Serves as a Liaison to Forrest Health Patient Accounts understanding and sharing Behavioral Health specific payor requirements. Identify trends in delials and develop action plan. Requests new charge codes in EPIC as needed. Compiles and submits information and data required for cost report. Serves in administrator on call rotation at Pine Grove.
