Job Description

Overview Black Mountain Ski Area is seeking dynamic and skilled Mountain Operations Specialists to join our mountain operations team. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for performing a wide range of lift maintenance, snowmaking, carpentry and construction, landscaping, repair and restoration, lift operations, tree and brush work, and other ops related tasks across our facilities. Join our dynamic team as a Mountain Operations Specialist and be at the forefront of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant mountain resort environment. This energetic role combines front facing and behind-the-scenes projects to ensure smooth and safe mountain operations. You'll be involved in a great many areas of mountain operations throughout the summer and fall, and duties will vary widely during ski and snowboard season. This is a full time, year round, salaried and benefitted position. Salary range is $50-60K DOE. Responsibilities This is not an all-inclusive list: Work with mountain operations staff to ensure efficient daily functions. Work with guest services, ensuring visitors receive outstanding hospitality and assistance throughout their experience. Assist with event and project execution, logistics for mountain activities, special events, and group bookings. Maintain safety standards via compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other departments such as restaurant services, resort management, and technical teams to deliver seamless guest experiences. Flexible scheduling and work in a very wide variety of areas at the ski area. Qualifications This is not an all-inclusive list: Proven experience in operational roles with multiple capabilities. Strong background within a hospitality or resort setting. Proven experience in fast-paced environments. Technical proficiency relevant to resort operations including safety equipment, communication systems, or resort-specific technology. Previous resort or hospitality experience preferred. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
