Operations Supervisor
Job Description
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities within an assigned department. This role leads a team of employees to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while meeting productivity, service, cost, and performance objectives. The Operations Supervisor coordinates resources, monitors performance metrics, resolves operational issues, and promotes continuous improvement initiatives to support business goals. Position Responsibilities may include; Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily operational activities to ensure productivity, quality, and service targets are achieved. Lead, coach, and develop a team of employees through training, performance management, and ongoing feedback. Assign work, establish priorities, and adjust staffing levels to meet operational demands. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary. Investigate and resolve operational issues, employee concerns, customer service issues, or workflow disruptions. Support workforce planning, scheduling, attendance management, and staffing activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support organizational objectives. Identify opportunities for cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational excellence initiatives. Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and communicate operational results to management. Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and capacity management activities as assigned. Promote a positive work environment focused on accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties as assigned.
Nature & Scope:
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations team Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager Accountable for the support or production operations team including subordinate work leaders Typically does not spend more than 20% of one's time performing the work supervisedKnowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of operational processes, workflow management, and performance metrics. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Ability to analyze operational data and make informed decisions. Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable operational systems.Competency:

5+ years of related experience 2+ years in a lead role/leadership experienceEducation/Certification:

This position requires frequent repetitive motion and use of hands or fingers. Close and distance vision is required. Remaining relatively stationary in either a sitting or standing position for extended periods of time is expected. Extended time on personal computer and/or telephone is expected. Employees visiting customer sites would be subject to walking, climbing, dust, and other conditions in which HVAC and other facilities may not be in full operation.
