An Operations Manager manages operations for a specific area within a company or organization. Supervises staff, oversees quality control, process improvement, and budget management for daily work activities. Has significant authority within their area of responsibility such as hiring, training, and managing staff.
We're looking for a hands-on leader to run the show at the center level; someone who can juggle crews, equipment, budgets, and people without breaking a sweat. This is a field-facing leadership role: you'll set the pace for a team of arborists, technicians, and support staff, keep operations running safely and efficiently, and be accountable for the branch's bottom line.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the daily rhythm of the branch —schedules, equipment assignments, inventory levels, and fleet upkeep. Recruit, coach, and grow field staff so the team consistently delivers safe, high-quality work. Track P&L performance for the branch and keep leadership informed with clean, accurate reporting. Champion a safety-first culture — build protocols employees can follow Constantly look for smarter ways to run the operation, from routing to resource allocation.
BACKGROUND WE'RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years leading a team in an operations, field services, or landscaping environment. A track record of developing people, not just managing tasks. Comfortable making calls independently and owning the outcome. Sharp communicator, equally at ease with a crew in the field and a spreadsheet in the office. Naturally organized
LICENSING & REQUIREMENTS
Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs as needed in the field.
Pesticide applicator certification:
not required on day one, but you'll need to earn and maintain your state's Commercial Applicator license within your first year.
