Exciting job opportunity to be involved in a popular winery / brand that is part of the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. We focus on providing our customers with a wine tasting "experience" done in an approachable and casual atmosphere. We offer a broad range of wines to appeal to the broad range of tastes of our visitors. Come be a part of our growing business! About Us At Toast Winery we are committed to making quality premium wines reflecting the unique terroir of the Finger Lakes and New York region we are blessed with. Located on the West side of Seneca Lake just 5 miles from Watkins Glen, our name refers to the tradition of toasting wine barrels which enhance the character and flavors imparted to wine during the aging process. It also stands for our never-ending journey to produce exceptional wine and celebrate our customers. Toast Winery is looking for a motivated, friendly, and outgoing individual to join our team. We are currently seeking a part-time tasting room team member to serve our customers and handle retail transactions with a welcoming and friendly demeanor. A successful candidate will have customer and retail service experience as well as a bright, positive, hospitality-oriented attitude. The individual will have an interest in wine, enjoy interacting and educating customers on our wines and the region. Working weekends is required.
Duties included are:
o Providing customer service to all guests, including pouring and speaking about each wine to give our customers a highly interactive wine tasting "experience" o Use Point of Sale system to accurately process sales. o Maintain the cleanliness of the tasting room and all public areas of the tasting room space o Stock shelves o Other duties as required
Qualifications:
o Must be 21+ years of age o Hospitality experience preferred but not required o Available to work weekends/holidays o Must be personable and enjoy interacting with people o Interest in wine preferred; eager to learn about wine to help educate customers o Able to stand/walk for long periods of time o Ability to lift 40 pounds

$16.00 an hour, plus tips
