- Create employee schedules 2.5 weeks in advance o Requires balancing specific schedule requests/restrictions, vacation requests and student schedules o Requires balancing the needs of the business and payroll control o Requires knowledge of NYS labor laws and adhering to them to avoid violations
- Recruiting/Hiring/Interviewing for resort o Communicate hiring needs to hospital administrator o Review resume's and schedule interviews o Interview (Utilize interview question outline to document impressions and answers) o Complete offers or turndowns and communicate outcomes with hospital administer. o Coordinate new hire paperwork with hospital administrator
- Employee reviews once a year- (at employee's anniversary)
- Training and continual development of new and existing employees o Complete a detailed training plan and calendar for all new employees (Training should be a minimum of 2 weeks per employee) o Identify mentors for new hires that will assist in the training process o Work shoulder to shoulder with trainees to assess and give feedback on their progress o Continually observe and assess existing employee to identify successes and opportunities.
- Corrective Action o Write and administer in a timely manner o Recap with hospital administrator any issues or correctives that have been given
- Run monthly resort meetings o Create agenda using weekly lead meeting information covered, emails from fellow leads, work list items, feedback from clients, behavioral training, etc. o Lead meeting and communicate back to fellow leads any developments that may affect them or other staff. o Send out meeting notes following to department leads and hospital administrator.
- Participate in weekly management strategic meetings o Report on the state of the business o Contribute ideas and input on topics discussed
- Implement new policies/procedures to improve, grow resort and elevate client experience. o Create best practices o Brainstorm/be innovative o Resolve client issues in a timely manner
- Review financials of the resort (budget vs actual) o Review expenses vs. revenue o Create action plans monthly based on results to improve/maintain results
- Review of daily accounting and correction of errors (missed charges, calling clients to follow up on outstanding balances, etc.) o Find AVImark errors and correct in a timely manner o Follow up on outstanding client balances and missed charges daily o Partner with the client accounts manager about resolutions to issues/errors that were communicated weekly
- Maintain a critical eye on facility and environment o Ensure staff is keeping area clean, putting down rugs, emptying garbage, shoveling, de-icing etc. o Communicate any repairs needed to hospital administrator
- Coordinate/attend promotional events for resort o Partner with hospital administrator on opportunities o Recruit employees to participate o Prepare set up/marketing/give-a-ways
- Manage marketing and social media for resort o Utilize/create compelling marketing to promote resort o Ensure social media is continually being leveraged to promote resort
- Scheduled office time for position should be 1 full day per week and the remaining 4 days 1-1.50 hours of office time can be spent following up on any accounting issues, client follow up, prepping training with staff, corrective/coaching with team members.
- Scheduled floor time 4 days a week (minus the 1-1.5 hours' office). Use floor time to model the desired behaviors, train shoulder to shoulder, and to cover shifts as needed.
