Job Description
Position Summary The Operations Manager is an AI-fluent builder, teacher, and communicator who modernizes how Hope Town runs. This role applies AI and automation across every Hope Town program and procedure, from intake and reporting to communication and administration, so staff can spend more time on people and less on paperwork. The same expertise extends outward through Hope Town AI, the organization's social enterprise: guiding client organizations through real-world AI adoption, teaching AI readiness courses, leading training cohorts, and representing Hope Town AI on stages across the country. Equally at home shipping software with Claude Code, teaching a room of learners, and mapping a procedure for automation, the Operations Manager ensures every system is ethical, practical, and aligned with Hope Town's recovery-centered, person-first values. This is an in-person position based at Hope Town's campus in Windham, Ohio, with regular national travel for speaking engagements and client work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operations and Program Automation Partner with Hope Town leadership across all programs and departments to map procedures, identify friction, and prioritize automation opportunities. Automate administrative, intake, communication, reporting, and operational workflows organization-wide, standardizing data and processes across departments. Measure and report the staff hours, costs, and errors each automation eliminates, and continuously refine procedures as programs evolve. Software and Automation Development Design, build, and ship production software using Claude Code and modern agentic development workflows. Build durable automations in GoHighLevel and related platforms, along with AI-powered tools including chatbots, knowledge bases, and internal assistants. Document every system so it is maintainable, secure, and transferable to another builder. AI Implementation and Client Services Own client relationships from discovery through deployment, serving as the primary technical and strategic contact for organizations adopting AI. Assess client workflows and pain points, translate findings into practical AI and automation roadmaps, and build the custom solutions that deliver them. Drive client adoption through training, documentation, and change management, and report ROI and efficiency gains so clients see the concrete value of every engagement. Training, Education, and Workforce Development Teach AI readiness courses through the Hope Town AI Academy and lead training cohorts from kickoff through completion. Develop curriculum, hands-on exercises, and applied examples that make AI genuinely accessible to learners with no technical background. Advance workforce development initiatives that prepare underserved and underemployed individuals to thrive in an AI-driven economy. Public Speaking and Representation Deliver keynotes, workshops, and conference presentations on practical AI implementation at events across the country. Represent Hope Town AI with clients, partners, and community organizations, supporting demonstrations and marketing that grow its reach and reputation. Model ethical, responsible AI adoption in every public setting. Organizational Support Align internal automation work, client engagements, courses, and speaking commitments with priorities set by the CEO and executive leadership. Stay current on emerging AI tools and best practices, and uphold rigorous standards for ethical AI use, data protection, and confidentiality in all internal and client-facing work. What Success Looks Like First 90 days: Fluent in Hope Town's programs, systems, and active client work. High-priority procedures mapped across departments and the first automation shipped. Co-teaching AI Academy courses alongside the team. First 6 months: Automations running inside multiple Hope Town programs with measurable time savings. Managing client engagements end to end. Leading training cohorts independently and first external speaking engagement delivered.
