This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction, civil engineering, forestry, utility work, environmental services, or vegetation management who enjoys working outdoors and wants to build valuable field experience with an established organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in the field, communicating with contractors and project stakeholders, documenting site conditions, and ensuring work is completed safely and according to project requirements.
Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to evaluate vegetation, property conditions, access, and project requirements. Coordinate with contractors, utility representatives, property owners, and other project stakeholders. Document field conditions, work progress, completed work, and any issues requiring attention. Review work to ensure it is completed according to specifications, safety requirements, and applicable standards. Assist with identifying trees, vegetation, and potential hazards around utility infrastructure. Maintain accurate field records, reports, photographs, and project documentation. Communicate project updates and field issues to the appropriate project or program manager. Help resolve field-related issues and coordinate necessary follow-up. Travel throughout the assigned territory and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Follow all company, client, and job-site safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Forestry, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience will also be considered. 0-3+ years of experience in field engineering, construction, utility work, forestry, vegetation management, environmental services, or a related industry. Strong candidates with experience in utility vegetation management, forestry, land development, construction inspection, or field operations are encouraged to apply. Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, maps, and project documentation. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with project teams and contractors. Ability to work outdoors and travel between project sites as needed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with GIS, GPS, mapping software, or other field-data collection technology is a plus.
What We Offer:
Hands-on field experience supporting utility and vegetation management projects. Structured training and opportunities to develop technical and industry knowledge. Exposure to a variety of field conditions, projects, contractors, and utility environments. A collaborative team environment with support from experienced project and program managers.
