Job Description

Right at Home in Jenkintown is seeking an experienced, driven, and hands-on Director of Operations to oversee the daily operations and long-term growth of our private pay home care agency. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence across staffing, scheduling, caregiver performance, client satisfaction, compliance, and office efficiency. The Director of Operations will lead and support office staff while creating systems and processes that drive growth, retention, service quality, and operational stability. This individual should be highly organized, solutions-oriented, and experienced in managing the moving parts of a fast-paced home care environment. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9a-5p. Key Responsibilities of the
Director of Operations:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the private pay, LTCI and VA home care agency Ensure smooth coordination between scheduling, caregiving, recruiting, intake, and client services Create and maintain operational systems, workflows, and accountability measures Monitor agency performance metrics, KPIs, staffing levels, and service delivery standards Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements Lead, coach, and develop office staff including scheduling, staffing, recruiting, and care coordination teams Conduct performance management, corrective action, and employee coaching when needed Oversee hiring, onboarding, and retention initiatives for office and caregiving staff Provide leadership support during urgent staffing or client situations Oversee client onboarding, service coordination, and retention
Growth & Business Development Support:
Partner with ownership and leadership to support agency growth goals Assist with referral relationship management and community outreach efforts Maintain an "everyone sells" mindset by promoting agency services and reputation Support census growth while ensuring operational readiness and service quality Qualifications of the
Director of Operations:
Previous leadership experience in home care, healthcare operations, staffing, or related field required Strong understanding of private pay home care operations preferred Strong understanding of Veteran Administration processes preferred Understanding of Long Term Care Insurance processes preferred Experience managing teams, workflows, and operational performance Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and make decisions in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time management abilities Experience with scheduling systems, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Pay:
$100,000.00 per year
