We are building a safety-first, reliable operation with a simple goal: take great care of our drivers, operate safely, and be a dependable partner to Amazon. What We Do Haul freight exclusively for Amazon Hook and drop — no package handling Operate new Freightliner tractors Run routes ranging from local/day trips to multi-day trips Build our operation around safety, reliability, and strong processes Why We're Hiring We are at the beginning of an exciting growth journey. We expect to start with approximately 3 trucks and grow toward 30 trucks — and we need an Operations Manager who wants to help build the operation along the way. This is not a role where every process already exists. There will be things to figure out : scheduling, driver communication, training, maintenance, yard operations, call-outs, and the dozens of details required to keep trucks moving safely and reliably. The goal, however, is not constant firefighting. As we learn what works, we want to turn those lessons into simple, repeatable processes so the business becomes more reliable as it grows. Solve it. Improve it. Build the process. Scale it. Who We Seek We are looking for someone who is both an entrepreneurial problem solver and a process person .
Someone who:
Takes ownership and figures things out Enjoys building something from the ground up Is highly organized and detail-oriented Can lead drivers with both respect and accountability Stays calm when plans change Looks for the root cause — not just the quick fix Turns recurring problems into better processes Wants increasing responsibility as the company grows Experience in trucking, transportation, fleet operations, dispatch, or a related field is strongly preferred. Class A CDL preferred.
What You'll Own Safety:
Reinforce safe operating practices and make safety the top priority
Drivers:
Train, coach, communicate with, and support drivers
Scheduling:
Build driver schedules and assign drivers to blocks and loads Daily operations: Make sure drivers and trucks are ready to go and issues get resolved Fleet maintenance: Coordinate inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
Facilities:
Manage truck parking, staging, office needs, and yard operations
Compliance:
Help ensure inspections, Hours of Service, maintenance records, and operating requirements are followed Hiring & onboarding: Participate in driver hiring and lead onboarding Process improvement: Build and improve the systems that allow White Pine Freight to scale reliably What Success Looks Like As we grow, most days should become increasingly predictable: Drivers scheduled. Trucks ready. Inspections complete. Maintenance tracked. Problems resolved. And when something unexpected happens, you can figure it out — then help make sure we are better prepared the next time. Compensation & Benefits Competitive cash compensation with significant upside; Salary ranges below are a starting point - growth potential as the company grows. Cell phone
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Benefits:
401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off
