Hourly starting range $20 - 28; Commensurate to skills and experience
Hours:
40-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The position includes some on-call hours during evenings and weekends. There will be some expected travel, on average 2 trips per month, with some overnights. Multi-night trips are rare, perhaps once every 2 months.

The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading. Position Description The Remote Operations Manager Lead provides direct leadership to the team of Remote Operations Managers responsible for monitoring and optimizing Maas Energy Works' portfolio of biomethane projects across the western United States. This role ensures consistent, high-reliability performance of anaerobic digesters, biogas cleanup facilities, metering stations, and gathering networks through strong team oversight, process standardization, and data-driven improvements. The Lead acts as the primary operational point of contact for Asset Managers (customer-facing project owners' representatives), escalating technical issues, providing performance insights, and collaborating on owner communications. The position bridges technical remote operations with customer/asset management. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Directly supervise, mentor, and coach a team of Remote Operations Managers. Conduct performance reviews, training, and skill development for the ROM team. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Operational Oversight Oversee remote monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of multiple digester facilities, cleanup plants, metering stations, and biogas gathering networks. Manage escalation of complex technical issues from ROMs and ensure timely resolution. Develop and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, and best practices across the team. Performance & Data Management Lead portfolio-level data analysis, trend monitoring, KPI tracking (uptime, gas quality, production, efficiency), and monthly operations reporting. Identify improvement opportunities and drive initiatives in predictive maintenance, SCADA enhancements, and process optimization. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Asset Managers (former Regional Operations Directors) to provide operational updates, support owner communications, and represent technical performance of assigned projects. Coordinate with Field Operations Managers, on-site operators, Engineering, Maintenance, and Safety teams. Support parts/materials strategy and major maintenance planning at the portfolio level. Travel & Site Support Conduct site visits at least once a year to the regions supervised Participate in root-cause analysis, improvement implementation across operations, best practices, standardization and incident investigations. Strategic Contributions Assist in budgeting and resource planning for remote operations. Evaluate and implement new tools/technologies to improve remote monitoring efficiency. Support commissioning of new projects and transition into steady-state operations. Qualifications & Skills Required 3+ years of experience in operations, preferably in RNG, biogas, or oil & gas. At least 3 years in a lead of Proven ability to lead and develop a team while handling technical operations. Technical knowledge of SCADA systems, gas plant I&E, and anaerobic digestion Advanced proficiency in Excel, data analysis, trend identification, and report generation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Wrike, TeamViewer, Intelli-monitor, or similar platforms. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across remote and in person teams.
