Job Description

Position Title:
Site Based Coordinator Salary Range:
Full-time (37.5 hours/week - 10 or 12 Months/year) $30,000-$42,000 prorated) Start date: this position will start in August of 2026 All BBBS staff are background checked and drug tested

Site Based Volunteers and Clientele Broad Function:
This position is responsible for providing quality program planning and coordination; to maintain relationships with partner schools; and to provide match support to ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with Big Brothers Big Sisters on the part of the volunteers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
A.
PROFESSIONAL 1.
Place children and volunteer mentors into one-to-one relationships that will assist the child in achieving positive outcomes. This includes contacting parent/guardians for approval and assessing children and volunteers to ensure their compatibility and ability to fulfill the guidelines of the Big Brothers Big Sisters model. 2. Through scheduled in-person, telephone and electronic contact, ascertain that the elements of child safety, match relationship development, positive youth development and volunteer satisfaction are fulfilled and that potential problems and barriers are identified and addressed as early as possible. Promptly notify supervisor regarding concerns, which may negatively impact the match. Monthly, 92% of all contacts required must be completed. 3. Positively support parents of youth in mentoring relationships insuring that their needs are assessed and met, resulting in a more beneficial match relationship. 4. Document and monitor all elements of match support and supervision. The quality of documentation must be consistently rated very good or excellent. A random sample will be pulled on a regular basis. 5. Develop strategic interventions to identify and strengthen match relationships that require extra support to continue to grow 6. Establish, monitor and meet goals for match and customer satisfaction. Utilizing approved outcome measures and develop an annual match plan for each mentoring relationship. Regularly assess the impact the match is having on youth development. 7. Conduct in-person site-base Little interviews and complete assessments up to agency standards. 8. Develop and implement curriculum for Big Brothers Big Sister's site based mentoring programs including developmental asset building in youth, financial literacy, career readiness, entrepreneurship, substance abuse prevention, and experiential learning opportunities. The curriculum will include a variety of activities, some educational and some just for fun! 9. Ensure ordering and distribution of all snacks & supplies necessary for program implementation 10. Assist with the training/supervision of BSW intern(s) throughout the school year to enable them to help implement programming 11. Act as a fully engaged member to help with the recruitment of Site Based youth and volunteers for the program. Attending open houses, contacting school personnel and finding creative ways to recruit children and mentors for the program. 12. Assist in completion of all surveys required by clients, volunteers, and teachers 13. Facilitate match closures following agency standards. Conduct exit interview with all parties at match closure. Assess reasons for match closure and re-match potential. 14. Conduct site based Volunteer and child reassessments & client enrollment 15. Implement a variety of activities for each program and Supervise program activities and participants on-site. 16. Develop positive relationships with partner school staff members, teachers, and principals. Meet with each school at the beginning of the year and conduct positive stewardship activities throughout the year. 17. Attend Agency Fundraising events 18. Assist with a minimum of 3 community based volunteer recruitment and/or unmatched Little activities during your work year. 19. Supervise and conduct in-person group mentoring sessions 20. Enroll children in group mentoring programs (not the children in the program they are supervising) 21. Conduct match support for other group mentoring programs (not the children in the program they are supervising) 22. Use stablished curriculum during programs 23. Substitute at after school and group mentoring programs as needed Duties below are for 12 month employees only 24. Attend Community Based unmatched Little activities 25. Attend Community Based Match activities as needed 26. Plan and attend recruitment events 27. Conduct Community based enrollment and re-enrollment interviews as needed 28. Other duties as delegated by the CEO and Director of Programs 29. Create and prepare curriculum for group mentoring and site-based programs.

B. EXTERNAL
Annual attendance of: Regional and/or national BBBSA conference (if finances permit)
SPECIFICATIONS A. EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field
B. EXPERIENCE
An understanding of customer relations as it relates to volunteer management. An understanding of community problems and resources. Ability to analyze behavior significance, formulate a plan of prevention and/or intervention, and write evaluative social histories, progress notes, and reports. Ability to operate laptops and comfort with database and Windows operating systems Ability to have effective classroom management skills in person or virtually.
