Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Director of Property Operations to lead and optimize our property management portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily property operations, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and drive exceptional customer service standards. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment, streamline processes, and enhance the overall performance of our properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our property management initiatives while ensuring operational excellence across all sites. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of property managers, leasing agents, and administrative staff to ensure high performance and professional development. Oversee lease or rental agreement management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely renewals. Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to track occupancy, rent collections, maintenance requests, and financial reporting. Ensure adherence to Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant laws, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8 programs, and other legal requirements. Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to uphold safety standards and enhance tenant satisfaction. Manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize revenue through effective upselling strategies and client relationship management. Handle conflict management situations with tenants or vendors professionally while maintaining positive relationships. Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and legal administrative records related to property operations. Foster excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person while ensuring compliance with office etiquette standards. Negotiate contracts with vendors, service providers, and tenants to secure favorable terms that benefit the organization. Requirements Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property leasing and management processes. Demonstrated proficiency with Yardi, OneSite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other property management tools. Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, Section 8 programs, and related legal frameworks. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, contract negotiation, and facilities management is essential. Office experience including data entry, filing systems, phone etiquette, and administrative support functions. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
