The Great Smoky Mountain Council is looking for an energetic, people-loving, mission-driven District Executive to lead Scouting in the Eagle Creek District . You'll inspire volunteers, grow youth programs, build community partnerships, and help shape the next generation of leaders. No two days are the same—and that's the best part. What You'll Do Build the Adventure Start new Scout units in schools, churches, and communities Grow youth membership and expand Scouting's reach Support exciting, safe, and fun programs Lead Awesome People Recruit and train volunteer leaders Coach teams and build strong district leadership Create a culture of teamwork and enthusiasm Fuel the Mission Lead Friends of Scouting fundraising efforts Work with donors and community supporters Help ensure every youth can participate—regardless of ability to pay Be the Face of Scouting Connect with schools, businesses, and civic leaders Share Scouting's impact across the community Represent one of America's most trusted youth organizations Who We're Looking For You don't have to be an Eagle Scout—but you do need: ✔ A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) ✔ Strong people skills and confidence ✔ Motivation, organization, and drive ✔ Willingness to work evenings/weekends ✔ A heart for youth development ✔ Reliable transportation Bonus points if you've worked in: Nonprofits Youth programs Sales or recruiting Community leadership Scouting or similar organizations What You Get Competitive salary Full benefits package Retirement plan Paid time off Mileage reimbursement Professional development A career with purpose And best of all… You get to change lives.
