SUMMARY:
The Director, EnterpriseOperations defines and executes the enterprise strategy and documented roadmap forCloud (IaaS/PaaS), hybrid systems, and on-premise data centers. Leads thedigital transformation, cloud migrations, and process automation (DevOps/CI-CD,Infrastructure as Code). Designs and manages all enterprise and storagesystems, tier 3 response to and correction of issues with related systems. Supervises team members who support thesesystems. Utilizes preventive action toidentify issues that may develop in the environment, documenting those issues,developing a solution plan and ultimately leading the solution's implementation. Manages medium to large projects includingproject plan development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The incumbent should be able to perform the followingfunctions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the jobperformance requirements. 1. Ensures high system availability, performance, and uptime against Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 2. Oversees major incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery execution. Owns and tests the enterprise DR/BCP plans at least annually to guarantee operational resilience. 3. Drives ITL-aligned operations covering Change, Configuration, Capacity and Patch Management. 4. Partners with Security to implement robust security controls, vulnerability management, zero-trust frameworks, and compliance audits (e.g., SOC2). 5. Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy. This includes training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance reviews, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, developing work schedules for staff and approving leave requests. 6. Uses service metric results to identify and implement training opportunities for staff. 7. Takes leadership role in identifying enhanced technologies related to enterprise systems, storage technologies, identity management, and associated systems in an integrated IT environment. 8. Works collaboratively to manage enterprise systems across technical and operational departments. 9. Develops bill of materials, estimates cost, prepares project submittals, processes proposals, and procures related systems components. 10. Coaches team on effective technical management techniques. 11. Manages change management processes relative to patching, upgrades, and system enhancements. 12. Works with industry leaders to develop and implement best practices across the enterprise operations ecosystem (cloud platforms, hybrid networks, enterprise storage virtualization, and modern DevOps tools). 13. Directs procurement, retirement of equipment, and upgrade of enterprise technologies according to established departmental and procurement protocols. 14. Develops processes and documentation to ensure availability of supported technology. 15. Manifests the department's commitment to positive, friendly, and competent customer support. 16. Maintains relationships with customer departments and ensures all support is provided in the context of assisting application users succeed in their business goals. 17. Measures and manages department performance by monitoring service ticket metrics to identify trends and develop remediation strategies. 18. Follows the CoreCivic program management methodology and works collaboratively with all team members. 19. Domestic U.S. travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
+ Graduate from anaccredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science orother related field is required. + 5+ yearsof experience in IT Operations and infrastructure engineering and in leadershipof technical teams is required. + Experiencemanaging small to medium technology-based projects required. + Additional yearsof experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-yearbasis. ITIL v3/v4 Foundation/Expertcertification required. + MSCE certification is preferred. + Requires proficiencyin Intel-based server systems, Linux/Unix based server systems, storage areanetworking, Microsoft Windows Server/Advanced Server/Active Directory,Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft AVD, Rubrik, Microsoft Azure, MicrosoftEntra, Veritas NetBackup, LDAP and identity management technologies, and systemreporting tools. + Must have strongknowledge of development and production life cycle stages, and knowledge ofbusiness processes and its integration with IT. + Crisis management under high pressure,cross-functional stakeholder communication, vendor negotiation and teambuilding experience required. + Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications is required.
