We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily delivery operations, driver performance, safety compliance, staffing, and service execution. Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of a FedEx Ground delivery operation. This role leads a team of drivers and supervisors while ensuring routes are staffed, dispatched efficiently, operated safely, and completed successfully each day. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can solve problems quickly, and has experience managing transportation, logistics, delivery, or fleet operations. Responsibilities Manage daily delivery operations for multiple routes and drivers DRO/FRO route planing. Lead and coach drivers, trainers, and route supervisors Ensure service goals and FedEx performance standards are achieved Monitor safety metrics and promote a strong safety culture Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer complaints Conduct ride-alongs, driver observations, and performance reviews Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and attendance Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and driver development Analyze operational reports and identify opportunities for improvement Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and FedEx requirements Maintain communication with terminal management and FedEx personnel Assist with peak season planning and contingency staffing Oversee vehicle utilization, maintenance coordination, and fleet readiness Manage payroll review, timekeeping, and labor efficiency Qualifications Strong leadership and team-building skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience supervising 20+ employees preferred Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends when needed Preferred Qualifications 2+ years FedEx Ground management experience Route planning and dispatch experience Experience managing safety programs and performance metrics Experience with GroundCloud, GPS routing systems, or transportation management software What Success Looks Like Safe and compliant operation Consistent staffing and route coverage High service levels and customer satisfaction Strong driver retention and engagement Achievement of FedEx operational performance goals If you are a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and driving operational excellence, we encourage you to apply.
