CNG Specialist Supervisor NEX NexTier Completion Solutions Inc. United States, Texas, Odessa Aug 24, 2026 Detailed Description The Supervisor, Operations NEX leads operational activities related to the maintenance, startup, and performance of Power Solutions CNG assets. This position plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, troubleshooting issues, and supporting field operations while maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee safe and consistent maintenance of permanent and portable CNG equipment Monitor and inspect equipment, tools, hoses, and parts for replacement needs Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure systems are operational Coordinate rig-up and rig-down activities, including transportation of equipment Support field operations through site visits, maintenance, and service calls Monitor gas lines for leaks and ensure system integrity Perform and oversee equipment repairs and restart operations after shutdowns Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials Lead and participate in onsite safety meetings and enforce safety compliance Act as a key onsite point of contact for operations and issue resolution Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Strong mechanical, electrical, PLC, and instrumentation knowledge Experience with automated control systems (MDT knowledge preferred) Hands-on experience with piping, HVAC, or similar systems Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead by example in safety and operational excellence Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities High level of professionalism, work ethic, and safety mindset Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1+ year of relevant experience (CNG, fuel, or related industry preferred) Valid Driver's License required Preferred Certifications Industry training in Natural Gas Compression or related OEM programs Technical certifications in mechanical or electrical systems Additional Details (Working Conditions & Physical Demands)
Working Conditions:
100% travel required. Exposure to outdoor environments, extreme weather, and high noise levels. Exposure to hazardous conditions, including chemicals, moving equipment, and confined spaces. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and reaching. Repetitive hand movements and manual dexterity are required. Medium physical work level required. Respirator fit test required.
