Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations for a growing water treatment and chemical delivery business. This role is responsible for ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and consistently while delivering an exceptional experience to our customers. The Operations Manager will oversee employees, fleet and equipment, chemical delivery operations, service activities, and facility operations while working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Safety, and company leadership. The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can balance operational execution with customer service, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations, ensuring customer commitments are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Lead, coach, and develop operations personnel by establishing clear expectations, monitoring performance, and holding team members accountable. Ensure drivers and technicians have the resources, equipment, training, and information needed to perform their jobs safely and effectively. Monitor vehicle and equipment maintenance and perform and/or coordinate repairs as needed. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, hazardous materials, and company safety requirements. Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation. Partner with Customer Service and Sales to ensure customer needs are addressed quickly and effectively. Serve as an escalation point for operational customer issues and work to resolve problems promptly. Promote a strong safety-first culture across all operations by leading by example. Ensure employees follow company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements. Participate in incident investigations and implement appropriate corrective actions. Monitor operational performance and use data and reporting to identify trends, improve efficiency, and make informed decisions. Partner with leadership on operational initiatives, business growth, and capacity planning. Review timecards, overtime, and other payroll-related information for accuracy. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and employee relations. Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, service levels, and overall operational efficiency. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, transportation, industrial services, chemical distribution, water treatment, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role. 2+ years of experience mechanical experience is preferred. Experience leading drivers, technicians, field service employees, or other operational teams preferred. Experience working with hazardous materials, DOT requirements, or regulated transportation is strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership. Comfortable working in both an office and operational/field environment. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
