Job Description
Summary:
Direct the strategic, operational, and clinical leadership of the Central Monitoring Unit (CMU), ensuring continuous, high-quality cardiac rhythm surveillance across multiple hospitals and care settings. Standardize workflows, quality, and performance while partnering with nursing, physician leadership, clinical engineering, IT, and hospital operations to advance patient safety and organizational growth.Responsibilities:

Competencies:

Develop and execute a system-wide strategy for centralized telemetry services, establish standardized monitoring practices, workflows, escalation protocols, staffing models, and technology solutions while leading expansion, integration, and operational efficiency initiatives across facilities. Lead centralized monitoring unit (CMU) operations and personnel, ensuring 24/7 monitoring coverage and readiness while overseeing staffing effectiveness, productivity, workload distribution, service performance, budgets, capital planning, resource allocation, vendor relationships, and telemetry technology solutions. Lead system-wide quality and performance improvement for centralized telemetry services by establishing quality and patient safety indicators, monitoring outcomes and data trends, ensuring timely escalation of clinically significant rhythm changes, implementing corrective actions, and promoting evidence-based monitoring practices. Lead talent development for telemetry services by recruiting, developing, mentoring, and retaining high-performing staff; fostering accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and continuous improvement; and ensuring leadership development, succession planning, competency assessment, education, and professional growth. Ensure regulatory and organizational compliance for telemetry services by maintaining policies, procedures, and documentation standards; coordinating readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation activities; and enforcing patient privacy, security, and documentation requirements. Direct system-wide CMU operations and collaborate with nursing executives, administrators, physician leaders, clinical operations, IT, and clinical engineering to optimize care delivery, telemetry systems and integrations, and strategic initiatives related to patient monitoring.Job Requirements:
Education/Skills- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field required. Experience
- Seven years of telemetry experience required.
- Two years of supervisory experience required.
- Lead telemetry, patient monitoring, centralized monitoring, or related clinical support services.
- Deliver results in operational excellence, quality improvement, and team leadership.
- Manage multi-site or system-level healthcare operations (preferred). Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
