Operations Superintendent for a small independent oil and gas company that is primarily focused on exploration, exploitation/developmental drilling and production in the Michigan Basin.
Job Description:
Work collaboratively, but capable of independently, with the Operations Manager to support oil/gas well production and relevant maintenance in the field Monitor production at the well level and provide oversight of pumpers, vendors, contractors, and other on-site activities Supervise well or facility work, including; drilling rigs, completion crews, workovers, and facility construction or repair Assist in drilling, completion, and facility/pipeline design for new wells and workovers: includes preparing AFEs, daily reports, and reviewing invoices/accounting Ensure regulatory compliance with the relevant State agencies, management of outside consultants, and the office. Responsible for company safety protocols and that all work is performed to company standards
Relevant Skills:
High school degree, college degree preferred 5+ years of experience in oil field production operations Team Player
  • able to work with others in the field and collaborate with the office staff Multi-tasking
  • able to handle multiple projects at once and deal with frequent changes Critical Thinking
  • able to analyze data and make recommendations without direct supervision Field Based
  • position would entail minimal office time with many days/nights spent in the field Basic computer skills
