$95,000 - $105,000 / year (Salary) Job Summary Openwork is seeking, on behalf of our client—a leading industrial distribution company—a dynamic operations leader to manage day-to-day fulfillment center and yard operations. This position oversees warehouse teams and supervisors to ensure material is handled accurately, safely, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, optimize space and equipment utilization, and maintain a culture focused on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
    Operational Leadership:
    Lead daily warehouse and yard activities, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, quality assurance, logistics, and space management.
      Team Supervision:
      Schedule, manage, and mentor warehouse supervisors and industrial personnel to meet fulfillment demands, maximize labor efficiency, and minimize overtime.
        Performance & Loss Prevention:
        Conduct regular review meetings with team leads to analyze metrics, develop actionable productivity plans, and enforce loss prevention strategies.
          Process & Quality Control:
          Standardize operational workflows for product handling, storage, equipment utilization, and customer order fulfillment.
            Safety & Compliance:
            Maintain a safe, healthy workplace by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing safety standards and regulatory compliance.
              Equipment & Facility Care:
              Oversee regular inspections and general maintenance for facility equipment, tools, and heavy machinery. Qualifications
                Experience:
                • 5+ years in an operations management role overseeing supervisors and industrial warehouse teams.
                • 3+ years in Industrial Distribution (PVF or heavy industrial experience preferred).
                • 3 to 5 years of focused inventory control experience.
                Education:
                High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
                  Technical Proficiency:
                  Expert-level knowledge of ERP inventory management systems and proficiency with MS Office applications and technology-driven processes.
                    Skills:
                    • Proven capability in continuous process improvement while maintaining rigorous standards.
                    • Strong leadership presence capable of serving as a key business partner to senior executives while operating independently.
                    • Excellent verbal/written communication, high-level decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
