Job Description

Description Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests by coordinating with management and staff to ensure a smooth and consistent flow of service. The Floating Assistant Manager will work between Vintage Tavern and Smithfield Station , supporting daily floor operations, staff performance, and guest experience. This position is hands-on and service-driven, requiring strong leadership presence during shifts, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt between two high-volume, fast-paced environments. Responsibilities include staff supervision, cash handling, shift execution, and maintaining overall cleanliness and operational standards. This role may also include light oversight of hotel and marina operations at Smithfield Station. Requirements Primary Responsibilities Promote, work, and act in a manner that positively reflects on Pack Brothers Hospitality at all times Lead by example on the floor to ensure exceptional guest service and a high-quality dining experience Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient service execution Actively manage the flow of service — seating, pacing, communication between kitchen and front of house Provide excellent customer service and handle guest inquiries, concerns, and resolutions professionally Calculate nightly deposits and oversee accurate waitstaff cashouts Count and maintain balances of cash drawers and safe daily Perform and verify shift payouts, deposits, and safe reconciliation Learn and maintain knowledge of vendor delivery schedules; check invoices and deliveries for accuracy and quality Maintain proper stock levels for front-of-house service and retail items Ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance standards are upheld throughout the property Demonstrate strong organizational skills in handling paperwork, reports, and communication Manage time efficiently to prioritize responsibilities during high-volume shifts Support team accountability, performance, and adherence to service standards Supplemental Responsibilities Work any front-of-house position as needed (host, server assistant, expo, etc.) Assist with onboarding and training of new team members Provide light oversight of hotel and marina operations at Smithfield Station when applicable Support special events, private dining, and high-volume service periods What We're Looking For Previous restaurant management or leadership experience preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented mindset Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
