ATSNUC, Inc. is hiring a Service Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our calibration and repair division, specializing in nuclear density gauges and lab equipment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, operational efficiency, and leadership. While a repair and calibration team is in place, this position will provide occasional hands-on support when needed and is ultimately responsible for ensuring every detail is correct before equipment leaves our facility. Extreme attention to detail is a must. From documentation and inventory to customer communication and team oversight, this role demands someone who notices the small things—because they matter to our customers and to our reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Workflow Oversight Coordinate and manage the daily service queue, ensuring timely calibrations and repairs. Supervise a small technical team including a calibration technician, repair technician, delivery driver, and office administrator. Ensure every item is logged in, tracked, serviced, and documented with accuracy. Customer Communication Serve as the primary point of contact for service-related inquiries and updates. Provide estimates, repair notifications, and follow-ups to customers with professionalism and clarity. Troubleshoot issues over the phone or delegate appropriately to technical staff. Technical Support & Quality Control Occasionally assist with repairs, leak tests, or calibrations when needed. Excellent troubleshooting skills is a must with preference in electronics and low voltage/amperage circuit boards. Review all paperwork, calibration logs, and billing documentation for accuracy before customer delivery. Ensure every gauge is cleaned, stickered, and logged out properly. Inventory & Logistics Management Maintain strict control over inventory levels and part reorders. Oversee all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving. Ensure all packaging and shipping paperwork is complete and traceable. Process Improvement & Compliance Identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies using lean principles. Enforce compliance with
ISO 17025
standards, radiation safety procedures, and internal policies. Support new service rollouts or process changes with an organized, detail-oriented approach.
Required Qualifications:
Proven ability to manage service operations or technical teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with extreme attention to detail . Comfortable working in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment. Familiarity with calibration, electronics, or technical service operations preferred. Competent with tools like Excel, QuickBooks, inventory systems, and shipping platforms. Must be reliable, proactive, and committed to holding both yourself and your team to a high standard.
