Hastings Regina Campus Job Description:
Provides supervision and oversight to Surgical Technologists and other clinical support staff in an Operating Room setting. Assists Patient Care Manager in day-to-day coordination of the unit, including staff education, performance management, scheduling and communication; as well as quality improvement and other management activities as delegated. Principle Responsibilities Supports day-to-day operations Works with Charge Nurse to support staff work activities. Assures optimal equipment function, including scheduling repairs and routine maintenance as needed. Analyses workplace for hazard and safety concerns, takes action as needed. Assists in the identification and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, facilitating the integration of quality improvement activities into practice. Monitors staffing levels and develops staffing model recommendations. Provides educational support Acts as role model and mentor to Surgical Technologists and other clinical support staff. Collaborates with preceptors to coordinate orientation plan and schedule for each new employee. Monitors progress of new employees, and provides constructive feedback and support. Assists in identifying staff learning and development needs, including unit competency plan. Supervises and assists in performance management of delegated staff Supervises and serves as a resource to staff. Conducts performance reviews and manages ongoing performance. Provides feedback to staff as appropriate, using coaching and mentoring techniques. Participates in interviewing and hiring of new staff. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in health related field 2+ years operating room experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree-Registered Nurse Licenses/Certifications Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below

◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) Physical Demands Medium Work

Pay Range Pay Range:
$42.92 to $59.38 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
